Other improvements being made in Brixton town centre
Staggering to see so many consultation processes and public meetings on town centre improvements and evidence of much increased police and community volunteers on the streets of Brixton, and yet - still - uniquely perhaps, you cannot walk, under the noses of police, from Tube to Bus Stop without hassle from skunk punters, you cannot browse the advertisements outside the Ritzy without being hassled by some low life peddling chemicals for a living, you cannot find a 21st century place to get a coffee and read a newspaper in the town centre, and all you can do for shopping is reluctantly and in a fragmented way crawl round discount or poorly presented independant shops, which have the quality of a poor market stall between four walls. Brixton is a disgrace to town planning and execution, its dirty and renegade and it's unacceptable. I am fed up with the minority of loud anti social non tax payers litering the streets and church park yards , at the cost of tax payers and community charge payers. No wonder investors seem seem reluctant to come to Brixton, the place is under control of anarchic anachronists, try looking around the world, its moving - really; pissing in the streets is not 'Babylon de riggeur', its disgusting and pathetic really. Yet another consultation process is an ineffective waste of public money ( not the money from the offendors of course, they regret to advise that they do not commit to the public purse) and will achieve nothing but a stalling for another 10 years or so before someone has the balls to take on the job of dragging Brixton into the present century.
