The fact that 50% or so of Lambeth children go to secondary school outside the Borough does not, in itself, mean anything, given the shape Borough's boundaries and its location in the centre of a metropolitan area. For many of these children it may simply be that they are going to their nearest school that happens to lie over the Borough boundary. I do not think that the Borough in which a school is located has any impact at all on parental choice.
